Mary of Bethany only appears in several scenes in the gospels and is never mentioned again in church history. Yet Jesus commanded that the story of this obscure young woman would be forever tied to the global proclamation of the gospel! (Mt. 26:13) What was it about her offering that was so precious, and why was her decision the “one necessary thing”?
